Pause AI … how about an alt? Simply flag vetted sources.

Open letter (link below) from Elon and others suggesting a pause in AI.
This premise is so ridiculous, it doesn’t deserve a response.

But, buried in the 6th paragraph is something useful:

“ provenance and watermarking systems to help distinguish real from synthetic and to track model leaks; a robust auditing and certification ecosystem; liability for AI-caused harm”

Twitter should lead by example … SIMPLY FLAG VETTED SOURCES
Twitter has the digital capability to vet content. They have the supporting data. I am not suggesting censorship. Simply a visual indicator if the content is based in reality. Just like credible journalism: multiple sources with supporting fact.

Next provenance and watermarking will be court admissible evidence related to our laws relating to fraud and public safety. Twitter simply provides digital provenance/watermarking, and they stay out of court.

Elon, all this actually benefits twitter. you can thank me later.
